1. The Service

Taxidy is a personal income tax compliance tool built on the Nigeria Tax Act 2025 (NTA 2025, Act No. 7). The Service processes your uploaded bank statements, classifies transactions into income categories, identifies eligible deductions and exemptions, and calculates an estimated personal income tax return.

Taxidy is an informational and compliance assistance tool. It does not constitute professional tax advice, legal advice, or financial advice. You remain solely responsible for your tax obligations, filings, and payments to the relevant tax authorities (FIRS, state IRS).

2. Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service.

You may not share your account with others, use the Service for fraudulent purposes, or upload documents belonging to another person without their explicit consent.

3. Your Data

You retain ownership of all data you upload to or create within the Service, including bank statements, transaction data, and tax profiles. By uploading data, you grant Taxidy a limited licence to process, store, and analyse your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time through the Settings page. Upon account deletion, your data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

4. Accuracy and Limitations

Taxidy's tax calculations are based on the Nigeria Tax Act 2025 and are intended as estimates. The accuracy of your tax return depends on the completeness and accuracy of the data you provide (bank statements, answers to deduction questions, manual entries).

Taxidy does not guarantee that its calculations are error-free. Transaction classification, whether rule-based or automated, may occasionally miscategorise transactions. You should review your classified transactions and tax summary before relying on them for filing.

Taxidy is not a registered tax agent, tax consultant, or accounting firm. The Service does not file tax returns on your behalf.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to upload false, misleading, or fraudulent documents, attempt to evade taxes or assist others in tax evasion, reverse-engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the Service, access accounts belonging to other users, or use automated tools to scrape or overload the Service.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

6. Intellectual Property

The Taxidy name, logo, website, application code, classification algorithms, and all related content are the intellectual property of Taxidy. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without our written permission.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, Taxidy and its founders, employees, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.

Taxidy's total liability for any claim related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to Taxidy in the 12 months preceding the claim, or ₦10,000, whichever is greater.

8. Modifications

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
